Just a poor sport
In the initial contact during the race, it looks like Sam had the inside line, but may have been forcing it... and TK probably did not know he was there. Regardless of who was responsible for the the contact during the race, I agree with Sam's comment that it was a display of poor sportsmanship by TK for bumping after the race. I think TK's comments are hysterical. He talks about talking about how drivers should talk out their differences, and then he was the one who bumped after the race. Practice what you preach, TK.

I bet Hornish Sr. would have kept his fat but out of this if his son had been in a row with AJ.

Andretti/Green arrogance
TK bumped Sam and I didn't hear him mention that. They would of took care of it like men should and didn't need the guy form the AGR camp pushing Sam's dad down.

I agree with AJ fan
Kanaan shouldn't have come down on Sam heading towards pit row.

Let's all do it
Next time a pit scuffle is planned,be sure that Danica and Sarah are included...and watch the ratings skyrocket.

what the heck
No fine when Danica pushed Weldon, or what about the driver who threw his gloves at Marco while they were stilll driving on the track. That was no different. They should have been fined too.

Lines and racing
The night of the incedent I posted that Sam had the line, even though I was accused of incest and being a nascar fan (Innocent on both counts) by one of the more sophisticated , well spoken members of the IRL gallery, I stand by the comment. Sam got underneath TK, who then came down onto sam. If Sam had not had position when that happened his right front wheel would have contacted TK's left rear wheel, not his side pod. At any rate, the contact did not apparently detrimentally affect either car, and the chop at the end that resulted in bent parts on Sam's car , (thereby refuting TK's allegation that no contact was made) was a cheap shot whose timing and location reflected extremely bad judgement on TK's part. Hornish sr.'s role int the fracas was an attempt to isolate Jr from a serious altercation, but when TK came looking for it I believe Sr. got involved because he didn't want sanctions against his son..... Then one of TK's groupies jumped
Sr. Look at it like a chess game... the pawns are the ones that are sacrificed in head to head orientation to preserve the Kings or Queens. (attach titles as you may deem appropriate) At any rate, the big deal to me was that there was a definate peril to innocent bystanders caused by a stupid, hotheaded move in a very bad place. Pull TK's green card and be done with it.

I was there
Its nice to see that IRL has such passionate viewers. I was actually in the pits and right behind the fight at Watkins Glen and saw the whole thing from start to finish. When I saw Hornish get out of his car and go towards TK I figured there would be a problem. I had no issue with the two drivers yelling at each other after their on-track get together. They were running on adreniline and not really causing anyone harm. Even Michael yelling a bit didn't bother me as he was protecting TK whether he deserved to be protected or not. I'm sure that if Roger Penske was in the area he might have had something to say (he was not and neither was Danica by the way). I did have a major issue with Sam Sr and the AGR team "friend" who took it too far. Don't feel sorry for Sam Sr. He ran out there looking for a fight and came back after the whole thing laughing. He was fine afterwards. He had more energy than I did after a long hot day. As for the AGR punk, he should be thrown out for good. He should have had no say in the scuffle and put peoples' safety into question. He needed to be tackled by IRL officials and track security as well as Penske crew. Grow up! TK didn't need his kind of help. The ones who should get applause are Marco and Dan Wheldon. I have only witnessed class and intelligence from Marco. He was above it all and hopefully taught his dad something although I don't believe Michael was that badly behaved. Dan came over and calmed TK down. The drivers showed control in the end whereas others did not. Passion is good. This time it went too far for some and lucky for them noone was hurt. It was great for ratings though!!
