Jimmy Dunham, the riding mechanic on board for Kelly Petillo's storybook victory in the 1935 Indianapolis 500, died Friday, July 25. He was 96.

 He was and still is a wonderful freind and person
I met Jim in a little dinner the little town called nipomo town I also grew up in. We would  talk raceing the whole time we were sitting down to eat our breakfast.He had the most wonderful life I was very fortunit to spend a little of that glimmer with him. I loved getting to know him.         GOD BLESS YOU JIM I HOPE YOU ARE RACEING UP THRERE IN THE CLOUDS

 Remembering My Grandfather
Thank you for remembering my grandfather. He was an extraordinary man and we will miss him tremendously. Many thanks for letting him share his Indy stories. Having that opportunity brought him great joy in his last years. Thanks once again.
