 ABC Coverage The Indianapolis 500 was good, but the ABC network coverage was terrible. Too many commercails showing the same ones over and over again. I undersatnd that the sponsers use the Indy 500 as a forum to reach the public, but com on...enough is enough. The sise-by-side split screen of the race and commercials just doesn't do it. It takes too much away from the race. Too bad I had to learn about the details of the race from the evening news. Nice try ABC....next year I'm taking my wife to the Indy so we don't have to be subjected to your advertizing blitz. Cheever and Goodyear were excellent, but the other guy was a BUM. Too many mistakes. Again....Nice try ABC...No Emmy this year, or even a nomination.
