Hi - I have a suggestion - Your X-Large t-shirt for women fit my friend who is a size 6. Several women and I at a few of the T-shirt booths, joined in lamenting over the fact that you do not sell apparel for "real women" (including the ones working your booths!) I looked around, and you are missing a big opportunity by not selling any women's apparel large enough for what appeared to be a majority of the women in attendance. The average size of a regular woman is size 12. Whoever manages your t-shirt sales needs to look for vendors who offer sizing for women, and even perhaps an option for a plus size woman. Many women don't want thier t-shirts skin tight, and/or they fear the shirt will shrink up so much it won't fit. I really think you would sell more to women if you sold womens apparel from a vendor who offers an XL that fits a size 16, not a size 6. I would also suggest offering a "classier" option for both males and females, that would appeal to the "preppier" attendees - simple annual 500 logo on a quality shirt, either centered in a V-neck t-shirt or to the side on a collared golf-type shirt. On a different note - the track grounds looked great and the bathrooms were well maintained the whole day, which is a hard thing to do! We had a great time - thanks. See you next year, Kathy |
