Parking in the infield (Turn 3) and admission
If I plan to arrive at the track at 6AM to park in Turn 3, are the chances good that I will get in?  You can buy tickets at the gate right?  Lastly, if I am parking on the inside of the track, I can bring in a large cooler to keep in the car right?

Thanks.

 Race Day
I sat in line on 16th Street from 5:15am until after 8 only to find out that no more cars were allowed into the infield (there were people behind me that had camped out overnight to get into the infield so I can only imagine their frustration).  It amazes me as in years past, people weren't allowed to "park" in the right lane leading into the main gate and were always waved on by IMS officials yet this year all three lanes were backed up before 5:30.  It was a waste of time and $4 a gallon gas for me!  I like to tailgate in the infield and I suppose if IMS is going to allow only certain people in, then I'll forget about ever coming back!  Funny how people jump on the bandwagon when the two different venues come back together!  I've been going since 1996 and have NEVER had any issues getting into the infield until this year when all the typical bandwagoners jump on board.  If this is how it's going to be, then count me out.
