I'll see how it pans out, it might be good for the race (I doubt it though)

The Speedway just needs lights period and this single weekend of qualifying and the fact that it rains during May in Indianapolis would be a good excuse to do it.

this is probably the best plan ive ever heard for the speedway, plus the lights open up the possibility of and endurance race up.]]>

In 2004 we had infield camping at the Chicagoland NASCAR race.
 - As a 14 year old I was able to muster out five autographs.
 - My dad had garage passes and FILLED three hats entirely with autographs.

I'm dying to meet some of the IRL guys / girls, I've never had the chance to!

I'm unfimilar with Indy and the best way to go about getting the best chance for an autograph, so I need you help!!

Thanks!

dude u realize that the drivers hate giving autographs all the time right, like the nobodys and te buy a ride drivers love it but people uve actually heard of hate it and its the reason the dont hang out in the open in the garages and only come out to walk to the pits. u realize that right?]]>

So do the top 9 run their 4 laps at the same time?  Are they all on the track at the same time?  Because that is my understanding of a "shootout".   If all 9 are on the track at the same time - I guess they COULD go faster due to drafting.

But I am thinking that each of the 9 do their 4 laps alone....... would someone please confirm?  Thanks.]]>

I have one more suggestion for them Move qualifying ending time to 7:00 to make up for daylight savings time.  This would return happy hour to its rightful time slot and let the track cool down for faster runs.]]>

My suggestion is to allow the top nine to make additional runs if they choose.  The from their best run of the day counts.  When the first day is over drivers are positioned by their best run of the day, within the top nine.

I'm not getting a response via the website's email... is camping allowed on qualifying weekends?  Back in the day, my dad would sleep in his car over the weekend - I've got a small RV I'd rather use!

Thanks,
